Antonin-Tri Hoang started playing classical clarinet when he was 9 but he quickly stepped into jazz music when he discovered swing from the 1930s. His stepfather who is a guitar player fond of gypsy jazz encourages him very early to improvise. Antonin-Tri Hoang learns saxophone and piano.
